I love this quote because I often feel that a good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures to life’s ailments. I find things to laugh about in order to correct my mood and sleep in order correct illnesses.

This amount of sleep is recommended to stay healthy and to maintain normal brain function. In addition, according to the National Heart and Lung foundation, proper sleep helps decrease the chance of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure and much more. Your Health is very important! When you set goals to become more healthy, how do you approach it? Do you research what would work best for you or do you just wing it? I used to wing it but I wasn’t getting any results. So I began to research! Research is very important because you need to find what works for your body style.

The first thing I researched was my exercise program. What did I need to be sure I was improving my strength and health but didn’t stress out my tender knees? I found Vshred. They build the exercise program to your body style and weight loss goals. Incidentally they also provide a meal and supplement program. I chose to only go with the exercise program because the meal plan seemed to be too strict and missing certain nutritional items I felt my body needed. In fact, I would NOT suggest their supplements or meal plan as many have had some serious side effects associated with the supplements and have had health issues associated with lack of proper nutrition using the meal plan.

The next thing I researched was what meal plan would work best for me. I asked myself, what nutrients do I need, and what diet gives me those nutrients? My husband decided he wanted to try Keto. Basically, Keto promotes a healthy lifestyle through low carbs and NO sugar. While researching it I found that by adjusting it some I could get the nutrients I needed and continue my vegetarian diet. The important thing to remember on the Keto diet is that you must continue to eat plenty of vegetables. Often people go on Keto because it is a high meat diet and they want to justify eating a lot of meat. If you do Keto this way you will have cholesterol problems and end up going to the doctor often. Make sure your Keto diet is very well rounded in vegetables and meats.

Next, while discussing my diet and exercise habits with my doctor, I decided that I needed to supplement my daily vitamins as my B12 was dangerously low, as was my Iron. I decided to see what supplement I could find that provided all the supplements one needs on a daily basis as well as provides a meal replacement option. That is when I found Thrive.
